To create a hub where the community could come together to share ideas and create them, whilst keeping the heritage of the old Butter Factory.

Watkins Steel was contracted by Box & Co to supply and install steelwork for the Kingston Butter Factory Redevelopment Project. Logan City Council was transforming the historic Kingston Butter Factory into a world-class community precinct for arts, culture and entertainment. The project included brand new buildings for the amenities and heritage building, a new stage, and the renovation of the heritage-listed Butter Factory to incorporate a community collaboration area and indoor theatre.

Scope of Work

To re do the interior of the butter factory building while keeping the heritage feel of the old Butter Factory. This had to be scanned to be able to work with the site the way it was, as asbuilts were not accurate. We also completed a brand new Admin building as well as a stage that was placed out the back to be the home of new entertainment in the logan area.
