Bill Shorten Visits Watkins Steel
Wednesday the 25th of January was a busy day for Watkins Steel with Opposition Leader Bill Shorten and Wayne Swan visiting the factory for a tour while in Brisbane.
This was a great opportunity for Watkins Steel to showcase our innovative methods used for steel fabrication and installation – highlighting our Four-Step Linked Process.
The tour involved a walkthrough of our factory floor where traditional steel fabrication methods are used in conjunction with our advanced robotic Voortman V808 Coping Machine for automated fabrication. As well as a walk through our office where they saw our in-house drafting team in action using Tekla Structures Software for 3D Modelling.
Bill and Wayne also got a sneak peak into the use of our new Microsoft HoloLens, even giving them a go themselves!
